Efina™ was developed for hand cotton appliqué. It is a 60wt 2 ply 100% Egyptian Cotton, made exclusively from 100% Giza 88 - the highest calibre extra long staple Egyptian Cotton. Fibres spun with Giza 88 are prized for their extreme softness, strength, and unparalleled lustre. Uniformity in diameter makes Efina™ the perfect choice for hand appliqué. Available in 60 original Sue Spargo colours on handy 150m spools. These colours match Sue's Ellana™ wool thread and wool fabric lines so that projects can easily be coordinated.

We demand a lot of our threads;

You want your work to last and not fall apart after a couple of years. Having said that I also find it ever so important for a quilt to be put to use, so read; “wear and tear” without any worries. There is another demand; you don’t want your stitches noticed, they should just disappear.

Efina does just that! It is thin, but strong, not noticeable and in an array of colors. I love it so much that I have even put my name on two boxes, namely Promenade and Painted Garden. We have been working with it for well over one year, its not just myself and my staff but also our customers and students in the shop. We are so confident with this thread that even when we teach abroad we hand bobbins out to our students. Just so that they will be able to experience it themselves.
